Palazzo Cavriani
Volta Mantovana (Mantua) is a lovely hamlet on the southern morainic hillside of the Alto Mantovano, encompassed by the River Mincio Natural Park which washes the shores of the Old Medieval Castrum. The hamlet reached its maximum splendour during the Renaissance, when the Lords of Mantua, the Gonzagas, had a prestigious palace built inside the walls, presently Palazzo Cavriani Gonzaga. Inside the mansion, lavish interiors with hints of pristine frescoed decorations from the XVIth century, valuable wooden ceilings and a gorgeous Italian style garden with ornamental hedges and marble statues.
