The Linen Museum is open from 9 to 12.30 and from 2.30 to 5.30 pm from Monday to ???? closed Sundays and holidays. Reservation is recommended for group visits. the Linen Museum is an ethnographical museum located in Pescarolo ed Uniti, in the Province of Cremona and it is part of the Cremona Museums’ Network. The Museum is owned by the Association of the same name which was established by a group of volunteers in the early ’70’s with the aim of collecting the materials, enriched in time by the numerous donations, presently on display in the museum rooms. The most significant units are the collection of the tools used to process linen - from sowing to weaving - and the Fabric Section featuring over 2000 specimens from the XVIIIth to the early XXth centuries. Most of those are linen textiles from the Po Valley and are a testimony of linen cultivation for the economy of the rural world. The Museum also offers sections dedicated to the breeding of the Silkworm and daily use tools. Thus, through its collections, the Linen Museum helps to bring back to memory age old activities, cultivations, social life and life styles, that have remained unchanged through the centuries.
