Vittoriale was built on a 9 hectare area and it is a small-scale fortified village. It is a complex historic monument, made of a series of public buildings, a 1500 seat amphitheatre, numerous alleys and paths, small squares, a hangar, gardens and parks embellished with fountains, streams and a pond. The main building, named ‘Prioria’ by poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, is the very same house the poet commissioned and lived in. In the many rooms, enjoy the display of innumerable objects, works of art and memorabilia that remind of the owner’s heroic life. In the villa you will find several heirlooms the poet used during his well known deeds in W.W. II
