The Pietra Corva Alpine Garden was designed and created in 1967 with the aim of preserving and specialise high elevation plants from diverse mountain systems. the Garden is located in the Municipality of Romagnese (950 mt a.s.l.) on the slopes of Mount Pietra di Corvo. 1300 species are housed in the Garden, allotted in several sections according to their origin, genre, ecological and environmental needs for their growth. Besides its main focus on preservation and research, The Pietra Corva Alpine Garden also plays a major didactic and educational role. the area is particularly suggestive for the numerous beech, larch and pine forests and from the garden a trail will take you to the top of Mount Pietra di Corvo (1078 mt) to descend to Pan Perduto and to Sassi Neri (1034 mt), then uphill again to Passo Penice (1149 mt). Opening hours: from April 1st to september 30th, from 9 to 12 and from 3 to 7 pm. Closed on Mondays
